Prioritisation under pressure · MMI practice station

You coordinate a student volunteering group. It is 3pm on Thursday and five things need attention before 6pm: a volunteer has messaged to say they feel unsafe at tonight’s event venue; the group’s chair wants the monthly report by 5pm; a new volunteer is waiting in reception for an induction you promised; your lab partner needs you to confirm tomorrow’s experiment plan; and a local newspaper wants a comment by 4pm. You cannot do all of them yourself. Explain the order you would handle them in, and why.

What a strong answer tends to do

States the sorting rule before the list: safety first, then what cannot be undone, then what others depend on.
Delegates deliberately and says to whom, instead of trying to do everything personally.
Revisits the plan when the situation changes rather than defending the first answer.
